I love stuff like that so I read it. Boy this article is an eye opener.
I didn't realize non-homeless people did this, but it sure makes sense. If you didn't read the article (but you should since I suck at paraphrasing), I'll try to explain it. It talks about people who Dumpster Dive for food, or anything else, thrown away by "big" corporations (grocery stores, bakeries, etc). Food that either expired that day or had a dent in the can or has a brown spot...all for consumerism.

"Americans throw out an astounding 27% of available food, about a pound of food per day for each American." says the guy in the article.....ok, so I have (and still do sometimes ) do it too. I throw away carrots that "look funny" or milk that "smells funny" (actually, i think all milk smells funny so I don't throw it out until it's reached the expiration date). But what gets me, these stores throw large quantities away WITH NO REAL PROBLEMS with the food....most is just "cosmetic". But they don't donate it because they don't want to be sued if someone gets sick or whatnot. Ok, I get that.....but can't they just put a clause on it or something that prevents them from getting sued? I mean, millions of people in America only are starving and living in shelters, that would LOVE to have this food!! (BTW: I found out after I posted this that there IS a law that protects companies from getting sued for donating food they are about to throw out.....it's called the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Act of 1996)
Well, that's where Freegans come in. They are environmentalists (and usually vegans, hence the word free-gan) that believe capitalism is ruining the world. They Dumpster Dive for food, toiletries, cds, dvds, books, furniture, and whatever else they come upon. They usually go in groups because they can end up with too much for one family, which is then sorted so every group member can take a portion of their findings home.

It sounds gross, but most stores throw away bags of packaged food, and it all gets picked up by the garbage truck within 24 hours of being thrown away....that's why Freegans go "diving" just after stores throw away the "bad" food of the day, which is also usually closing time. See pictures below of the "bad" food they throw away...looks pretty ok, doesn't it?

One lady, who calls herself the Secret Freegan, donates most of what she finds to any shelter willing to take the "dumpster" finds from her. I love the idea of giving back to others in need.

What is my reason for writing this? Other than sharing this amazing story about others saving money and giving back to people in need, I feel I need to re-assess and re-evaluate my life. I am actually one of those really "poor" people, but fortunate enopugh to have a roof over their head.....but I'm tired of either myself or my husband working our butts off for ungrateful bosses (remember the movie Horrible Bosses that came out recently? well, it seems like every job we get, they are like that) just to live in a run-down trailer with no cable, sucky internet, no washer/dryer, no dishwasher, no car, living off of government help (Food Stamps and medical) and wishing I will win the lottery so I can have "stuff".

Well, having stuff and money really means nothing if you are bitter and ungrateful (which I try not to be, but a lot of people are). I want to get back to some basics in my life where I will be able to self sustain by having my own business (that's where my jewelry/craft making come in), grow most of my own food, trade or barter items and/or services (my brother in-law traded his tattooing ability for 2 motor-scooters recently). Why buy new when you can get food, items, or services for free if people are willing to give them up? That's why I like the Free section on Craigslist, and forums like Freecycle where you can get just about anything for free. As for rent, heating, and some techy stuff, those are things I will still need to pay for (I gotta have some tv, cell phone, and internet).

I want to live near people who appreciate each other and life as well as help each other out with no regrets or complaints (ok, sounds to good to be true, but at least that's what Freegans and a lot of people do, but most people aren't lucky to see it or experience that side of people). I'm tired of certain family members who make $40,000+ a year for just the family of 1, that complain about helping others in need because they are tired of shelling out money to them....Now, I don't ever expect them to help me, but I DO expect them to NOT complain when they do help. What happened to families that help out with babysitting, household chores (fixing broken things mostly), rides places, or whatever without asking for anything in return? Or at least are happy to help others without complaining that they are "so tired of giving money to everybody and their brother when they are in trouble"? Again, I just can't stand people who help out, but complain about it TO MY FACE....don't help then if you don't want to....whatever.

Right now, my husband and I are enrolled in school and still have another year on our lot rental, so we can't move just yet....but after we get our Associates degrees, we will move to a cooler state (hopefully Oregon or Washington?) and try to start things new.

What I want to accomplish while there:

1) Own my own home....yeah, we are renting to own this trailer, but we don't own the land.....
2)Have a plentiful vegetable and herb garden.....and share what I grow with others like myself
3)Be crafty.....make my own, well, just about everything! Make jellies and my own bread....fix up "old things" into useful, fun things (look up "upcycling" on Etsy or google)
4)Turn my crafts into profit....start selling on Etsy and at Farmers Markets or other local shows
5)Eat healthier and exercise more....hopefully the gardening will help with both of those :)

We will be saving any extra money from tax refunds or whatever to make this happen. I will live better, and the way I want to. Here's to living better!
We went Trick-or-Treating around the neighborhood and scored some good candy. One house we went to, an older gentleman gave the kids each a lightsaber toy that makes sounds! Another house we went to gave both my kids metal skull rings ( heavy enough metal that clunked when dropped). I love it when people are creative with their treats. I make it a point to give kids a couple of candies and maybe even a small toy. No "one candy" rule for me.... This year we put the treats into little treat bags for presentation. Then around 7:15pm we went home to pass out candy. My 4 yr old helped by handing the kids the little bags.
On another note: It's time for my blog revamp since it's been forever and the old template just seemed wrong. So what do you think about the new layout? It's not finished because I still have to add some links and such to complete it....but the template/layout is finished.

I'm not sure why I stopped blogging, but I'm back! A whole lotta stuff has happened since last time I posted: My youngest just turned 3, I enrolled in school again, we are renting to own a mobile home, and in about a month I will be turning the BIG 3-0!!!
I have been getting back into crafting again, couponing, and cooking (a lotta new stuff!). I suppose a bunch of my posts will consist of that. Maybe in the future I will revamp my blog to include pages of recipe posts and such. I don't know how active I'll be when I start school, but I may be able to at least post 2 entries a week then.

Well, his tiny face collided with the corner of the crate and it immediately starting gushing blood and swelling. Now he has a huge gash on the inside of his mouth and a small one outside on his lip. I am afraid that he might need antibiotics or something....I've never dealt with anything as big as this (small bit/fat lips in the past).

I have been dealing with 2 residential moves, quitting college (for various reasons), potty training, and many family crisis these past few months. Pwhew! If that isn't enough, I am still trying to find out the right way to make money online AND start my online (some offline) jewelry business. We are still in need of financial stability and I would really like to make money from home...my way. I really hate hard selling (so NO to Avon and Cookie Lee). I am just NOT cut out for that.

On a family note, my boys are getting so big! I can't keep up with all the new words they are saying and the cute things they do. My 3 year old is still not potty trained yet...I am really getting discouraged. He sometimes makes the initiative to go potty himself, but most times he flat out refuses!

I did buy a really kool new digital camera for myself, a Sony Cybershot, to take pictures of my kids and also my jewelry to sell. Here's a couple pics of my kids:

They sure are camera friendly!

I am amazed completely by the videos they show on their landing page. It shows kids as small as 7 months (or smaller, I'm not sure) recognizing words on flash cards, then indicating what it is. I saw a baby on there understand what P-A-N-T-S meant...she had grabbed her pants when showed the flash card with the word (and only the word) on it!!!

Your Baby Can Read is a program that can help babies (from 3 months old) and kids read from an early age. It comes with DVDs, flash cards, game cards, books, and a few other kool things. The way it works, is they show a word on the tv screen, repeat it twice, then show the action of what the word is. Example: the word "CLAP" is shown on the screen, then it is said twice on the DVD, then shows a person (or sometimes animals) clapping. It gives repetition, which everyone needs to learn, as well as visual confirmation.

I know it almost sounds like a scam....that parents can do all that WITHOUT the help of a bunch DVDs or whatever. But if you think about it, we all buy educational books for our children (abc or 123 books), educational DVDs (that certain potty training video), or buy numerous flash cards to help our children learn their basic numbers and letters. What I like about this program is that they offer ALL OF THE ABOVE together in a neat package. They all together compliment each other (no confusing differences or changes in characters or teaching layout). Recognized expert, infant researcher Dr. Robert C. Titzer, Ph.D. (the guy who came up with Your Baby Can Read) had years of observing infants and children's learning skills and decided to try his program out on his own kids.

Now, My son is having trouble with his words, and I know he has trouble identifying things. I just don't have the time during the day (with studying, cleaning, and general home stuff) to spend on teaching him his skills. I like the DVDs because they can be put in while I'm busy, and he can learn from it. It's way better than putting Baby Einsteins in, because it's more than just stimulation (and sometimes putting my kids asleep...lol). Your Baby Can Read DVDs show the words, say them, THEN show the action! I think both my boys can benefit from that, now that my little 7 month old is starting to gain interest in colorful pictures and sounds on tv. And when I have quality time with them, I can pull out the books and flash cards for additional learning.

Here are the videos so you can see how it works:

After watching the video on their website as well as the YouTube video, I am SOLD!!! The ONLY problem is I have NO money to invest in this amazing product. I am having so much problems with money right now (just read my last post). I even asked my mom a about a year ago to help me buy it, but she didn't know it cost $200 (she was gonna buy it thinking it was only $14.95...my stupid mistake of not paying close attention to the infomercial). So I guess I'm on my own now.....

BUT...If you'd like to help me out, I created a Donation widget for Your Baby Can Read. It'll go directly to the Paypal donations page, in which you can donate any amount. Or if you wish, visit ANY of my sponsors (pick one you'd actually LIKE to check out).

I'll let you know WHEN and IF I am able to purchase this wonderful program AND tell you how it goes. It seems that life keeps screwing me...over and over again. I feel so helpless and worn out from all the crap that keeps coming my way. Since there is a lot, I'll break it down into a list:

1. NO CAR- our car broke down, got repoed (no money to pay loan..that's another point), borrowed my mother's van, it broke down...BTW, we had put about $35 in gas the DAY BEFORE it broke down...mother wouldn't help get it fixed (was in pretty bad shape when we borrowed it), and now it's been towed somewhere...so needless to say we've been "bussing it" everywhere or TRYING to borrow cars (for DR's appts and grocery shopping)....

2. NO MONEY- my husband has a 25hr a week job making $9/hr....and I go to school from 5-10pm M-Th...so I'm only able to work mornings...and in this economy, getting a job is really hard

3. Debt Collectors- owe at least 2 banks and it went to chexsystems (can't get a bank account now)...owe my last apartment complex $4,000 for breach of lease...owe on our car loan....owe money to a college for not finishing (finished current class, but not continued courses for minimum requirements to quit)...owe money to some family members....and a bunch more

4. Eviction- For the third time in a year, we are facing eviction. We only got into this apartment because they would take us with a recent eviction....we can't get a cheaper apt (with 4 people, we HAVE to have a 2 bedroom) and they won't give us a discount since I go to school. We still owe $$ for May's rent, and with all the late fees we owe just about as much money my husband makes a month at his work. We can't go to a shelter because I never got my 2 son's birth certificates.....they were never sent to us. So now we have to order them...that's more money.

5. Cell Phone dropped in water and now it's not working. We tried to find people on Craigslist that'll GIVE us any usused SPrint phone...some replied, but didn't reply back after I responded. SO we found a cheap enough phone on CL, they guy sold it to us and swore that the ESN was clear....well, it wasn't clear...we tried calling him about it, his GF answers and sounded a little perturbed. She said she was at work and would tell her BF later. We emailed them, called SPrint (they won't help)..finally the guy calls us yesterday and says he's sorry about the mixup and tells us he'll get it cleared or give us the $60 back on Friday.....UGHHHHHH!!!!

6. I go to school and need a babysitter (husband works until I get home)....NONE of my family members can give me a set time to help me out....I need someone four days a week for at least 5 hrs a day...I really can't afford to pay ANYONE,I said before, we barely make enough just to pay rent. AND the state won't help me with childcare since I don't work (WTF? so they won't pay for babysitting when I am trying to go to school to better myself? ok, so I'll work somewhere for less than $9/hr when I can go to school and in a few months I'll be a Phlebotomist and make $12-$14/hr...go figure)

7. A*holes on Cragslist are criticizing me for my post requirements for the babysitting I need...AND THEN MY POST GETS FLAGGED AND DELETED!!!! WHy? I NEED help!!! And the jerks spam/conversation posting is still up!

I am at a loss and am slipping quickly into a state of major depression. I can't handle this anymore....and the crappy part is, I don't know how to make it better!!! Whatever...I guess I'll just sit her and cry for a little while until I can figure things out.....

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-18098055157695700772009-05-12T13:19:00.006-07:002009-05-14T16:37:18.078-07:00Tattoos: An Ongoing Controversy

The above tattoos are mine and 2 are of my husbands (they match 2 of mine). The symbol is a Japanese kanjii that means Eternal/Forever. The skulls are just a silly cartoon representation of us...with heart eyes because of our Anniversary/Valentines Day.

I got my first tattoo (the one on my neck) about 3 years ago. It hurt like a bleepity-bleep...mostly because it was close to my spine. I actually can't give a good reason on why I got it. I mean, it really hurt...yet I really wanted one. And then about 2 months ago, I got the ones on my arm as a Valentines/Anniversary thing with my husband...who also got similar ones......well, those hurt 3x as much. I actually winced most of the time and tried not to act like I normally do when in pain: scream or cry!

I (so far) haven't had anybody say anything negative to me about my tattoos. They mostly ask if it hurt (well...DUH!). BUT I have had people say that getting a job will be hard because of them. I think it's discrimination if you deny a job to someone because of a tattoo (or beacuse it can't be covered up). If it's not racially inappropriate or whatnot, than what's the problem? I believe more and more people are becoming accepting of this subject, and hopefully us tattooed people can get more respect as an individual rather then for what we look like.

If you have any input, leave a comment or join the conversation below. :)

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-51847375913990814912009-05-11T16:35:00.003-07:002009-05-11T16:44:51.685-07:00Adam Lambert's got competition!I was just checking my email when I saw a new clipping on Yahoo about something on Britain's Got Talent. I was interested...especially after Susan Boyle's recent celebrity explosion. It was about a 24-year-old Welsh waiter named Greg Pritchard. I had no idea what the article was about....just knew something strange was gonna be up with this guy. Just watch the video...you'll be totally surprised.

What a voice! And I thought Adam Lambert (final 3 on American Idol) had a beautifully high voice for a male. This guy seems to have at least another octave on Adam. I still love Adam though....no one can replace him. I will have to keep an eye on this British fellow though....

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-75251705513944966752009-05-08T15:50:00.003-07:002009-05-08T16:45:48.510-07:00Treat Your Mom on Her Special Day!<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 178px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVrMVFas93tF0pES82yXxZ01VXct8H-FiYIKI-_6zAJz7Op3Uq_gc7fTBYTiJcdimAh-JCVXeknie-CU7kBSB9mLwebh4Ds25fDt8-c3-xaSYcPGbAESuhR7C9a5nYc0kwb3x-d7CRFYjw/s200/tulipsvase.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333602868717515506" />Mother's Day is only 2 days away (this Sunday) so if you haven't bought or made your gift yet, head on over to my other website for some great deals and Free Stuff for Mom. I have compiled a small list of restaurants and retailers giving away meals (or desserts) to moms everywhere. There is also a few listings for Free greeting cards and workshops to make your mom something special. Mark your calenders for these deals since they will only be available for Mother's day.

I bought my Mother-in-Law some really pretty flowers (with vase) at ProFlowers. I went through UPromise.com so I can actually get cash back for shopping through them. They arrived yesterday (because the weekend shipping cost more) and she loved them. Now I just have to buy something for my own mother. I am thinking of getting her some purple flowers and maybe a purple stuffed animal. SHe loves the color purple and just about every gift-giving holiday I buy her something purple.

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-33400080126343594012009-05-07T14:10:00.002-07:002009-05-29T14:20:46.529-07:00Take Care Clinic @ Walgreens<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 233px; height: 233px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF_9AxyvvWP1dbQsWPICb6wZ0KwbrIGLYB0okn3Q0myw40I_uQS9PenKedL4GP6zaL-0La79xk00U9P2axI9-iKUzRp_uRYfuoid6AN7S_C8iTrKqD4sQMb0RCTyiJi4_bwEsrm5vvIhyphenhyphenJ/s320/takecareclinic.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333192741873382658" />
I recently joined a Word-of-Mouth marketing site called BzzAgent. It's a place where you can make a difference (and get free stuff) by telling your family and friends about certain companies, products, and websites. They send you a Buzzkit (either by mail or located in your BzzAgent site) that sometimes have products to sample...including coupons and information about the product. It's pretty neat.

I recieve the Walgreens Take Care Clinic campaign for my first project. I think this one suits me much better than the old one. This one looks more elegant and also has tabs on top. I am still tweaking a few things though.....I am going too add a few more top tabs as well as a footer. And I'm not sure the date on posts will come out right....we'll have to see. I did add a few new Links, Widgets, and Icons that look better than the old ones. I even customized a Twitter Bird Icon to say "twitter" and made a new siggy.

I created a poll to see what my readers think about the New Look. It's on the left sidebar under "Mama's Pages". I hate the design (I made the title banner). I'd love to have a totally custom design from a professional...BUT I can't afford to pay for one. So now I'm gonna have to search for the absolute BEST one for my "theme" (if that's what you'd call it). Not to mention I'll have to go through a lot of work to transfer my widgets (or at least the codes for some) to a "sample" blog...because Blogger likes to delete widgets when you change the layout....GRRRR.

So, if in the near future you see a completely different look....DON'T LEAVE!!! It'll still be my humble Blog, just with a way better look and feel to it.

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-23703476440987986222009-04-30T12:36:00.003-07:002009-04-30T12:48:19.977-07:00Swine Flu Hits Home<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 160px; height: 109px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQSJR4hIFbUtAHJ4ZbOfNxlNE0FH_hjpXRGotAjhHoWVeBr7RioJDEw5DW_e1k_zj-wP2_LlsrERB211tt9FhHo5FvlFx9_RAaXA4qd69x4UuV2cxy1Zgsdxty8O6BTmxQD1oIzdcqsYZp/s400/Moon_Mountain_Elementary_Pic.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330573348016106306" />I wasn't all that scared about the new Pandemic: Swine Flu, until yesterday when I found out that it surfaced in my hometown, Phoenix, AZ. And that's not the scary part. The place that it turned up in was Moon Mountain Elementary school....the school that's just kiddy corner to my Aunt's house! Needless to say, I'm a little freaked considering my family is so close to it...AND afraid for my boys since they are so little (but fortunately we don't get out that often).

SO just for precautions, we are making sure our babysitter washes her hands and the boys before/after eating, drinking, pottying, etc. We are also not going to take the boys out of our home unless absolutely necessary (we don't have a car or any obligations so it's not that hard to do) AND we'll also be EXTRA clean...Just In Case.

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-6931299731202213862009-04-18T12:55:00.003-07:002009-04-18T13:13:44.704-07:00Mama's Money Saving Tips<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 173px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8vii0AiWag1OKGvH1Q_WBIp9nPHyoDC-81Pncha9bsgU8GZp_9ZO3O4Kt85g2BdUm0reptEMsfMrUxocFLtE_flNC7fcVLIPKUaDZsqbeO04Ktj95o9bZbHoYzMksQc6AUfWT1OqYMRiK/s200/piggy-bank1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326124081739150482" />
I don't think I ever officially announced my other blog I created a week ago. It's a blog dedicated to my love of getting Free Stuff, using Coupons, being Frugal, and also Making Money Online.

I try to find Freebies and Coupons all over the net and post them for everyone. I also get Free Redbox Codes that I post every Monday. Every weekend I give an update of all the online earnings I've made.....haven't tracked savings yet, but I hope to soon.

I am just starting out with really monitering my spending and saving, as well as starting to make money online, so my posts are mainly Freebies and Tips right now.

CHeck it out, and if you have any suggestions (or complaints), please let me know. I'd like this site to be user-friendly for everyone. :)

Mamas Money Saving Tips

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-1860227356213330302009-04-15T15:20:00.001-07:002009-04-15T15:29:04.943-07:00Wordless Wednesday: My Boys

I finally compiled some new pics of my boys and made a slideshow of them on Photobucket...they are so cute.

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-13804306277737393292009-04-12T09:38:00.005-07:002009-04-12T10:21:10.606-07:00Happy Easter!<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_JQc3wwLd39Y/SeIZMsWNr7I/AAAAAAAAAMU/tD6SVm5-PQI/s200/cedriceasterhat.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323845415358803890" />That's my silly 2 year old...he found an Easter hat in the garage.....too bad he doesn't know it's for girls. ;) LOL!

We had a pretty good morning so far. I made Scrambled Sun Dried Tomato and Basil Eggs, Maple Sausages, and fruit cups. It was pretty good. It kinda hits home because a family member of mine could almost care less if she smokes around me and my children.

She actually makes "half" attempts to Not Smoke around us. What I mean is, that she'll go smoke outside, but there have been times where she'll leave the front door open (smoke comes billowing inside) or she'll come inside the house with her lit cigarette to answer the phone or something completely dumb. And when we're in her car and we stop somewhere, she'll light up her cigarette IN THE CAR and then get out!

I have told her time and again that all the above bothers me. I DO NOT want my little boys to get Lung Cancer or Asthma or anything from her smoking around them.

Anyway, join the conversation below....you can help me make Money to donate to the Stacey Scott Lung Cancer Registry.

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-85972212303718627952009-04-07T12:42:00.005-07:002009-04-07T12:52:52.798-07:00Fry's Reusable Tote Design Contest: VOTE 4 ME!<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 96px; height: 87px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgncrkaIkh4s5tiTVb0VpKrpDTIbAHZi62Zl_uxnnjlbaJdpUSym9Zl0gmS9JfD8e-1qecc7kscWuW02j33GUU_B5vGSgCgWhLaSFasqrfM1djnehaCqfNndHGs3VRg540cw1XrHhbo8b3F/s200/fryslogo_banner.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322037618343760162" /><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 288px; height: 28px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7iLkcRwTe2GiAkjy8m9XpzcgQP7I4gU3koEuTHezkvbgbK7i839kqstZQf9CHyqffIk77Ziei4iieGke_SMTv8wrIpxOC2ocAvTE7zUl1dxMjUqfL7RTWBvWjSo3IJ38e7VJCasGQrfbR/s320/frysgreenerworld.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322038099210193474" />

Fry's is hosting a contest for Reusable Tote Bag Designs. I have added a few sponsors and affiliate ads of companies I like and use. Feel free to visit them if you have the time. I really do appreciate it. :) BTW, these are great to ad to your own site/blog to make money!

1. Ads above blog posts- These are companies that sponsor me through Commission Junction. If you like the ad, click on it. Each company has a specification for how I will get paid (readers subscribe, shop through their site, etc). It's pretty kool. As soon as I get any offers or payment, I'll keep you all informed so you know how it's going. I feel really good about this one. It's way better than AdSense.

2. Sponsors on Left Sidebar- Same companies (more are pending approval...so hopefully more to come), different spot.

3. Affiliates On Bottom- These are banners to my surveys, PTC/PTR, etc sites that reward me to refer new users. Read about them in my post Saving Money and Earning Online.

Again, if you feel like creating some revenue for you site/blog, check my affiliates out and be sure to stop by Commission Junction.

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-29946105455744340672009-03-31T16:34:00.003-07:002009-03-31T16:44:51.091-07:00In Constant Pain<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 143px; height: 160px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvjmnU2VJT_iKKW58BkS17MyMb5xNOstgP_8dXyDH1VVUMIc9Ze4GIlj_0JNcKOABvIDv1a5DzNIBMyMRAiNefMGhVzipvMOk1f4tzu0jrx3p_jP1aHxtvPWgHbeMGGvh-oCRBp1xIAiGw/s400/backache.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5319499601091899810" />
My lower back hurts so much. I have no idea what happened to it. I did walk over a mile and a half a week ago to my mom's house with 2 babies (one walked, the other strolled). I don't really exercise at all, so maybe it was too much at once? My back really hasn't been the same since my second boy was born 5 1/2 months ago. Even his physical therapist asked me if she could work with me on it....but I didn't have the insurance or money to check it out. And now after that walk, I am in constant pain. It hurts to bend, sit, get up, everything.

I don't know what to do. I do have state insurance, but I dunno if they cover chiropractics....but then again, it never hurts to call my PCP (even though I never set one up...only have seen an OB/GYN in the past 2 years) and see what he/she says.

I really hope it's nothing too serious.

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669491055911870232.post-66620445361977333402009-03-29T09:15:00.005-07:002009-04-02T12:58:00.124-07:00Saving Money and Earning OnlineCarrie from Money Saving Methods has recently sparked my interest again on making money online, plus she has tons of tips about how to save $$ on utilities, groceries, etc.

There are a lot of places online to earn money, but these are the ones I've had success on and are pretty easy to do. I am pretty much a beginner on most of these so I haven't had many payouts yet. The more you sign up for, the easier (and faster) it'll be to reach payout.

**Read Emails/Surveys/Shop Online/etc**

MyPoints- (My personal favorite Points program) This is based on a points system. You earn points by reading their emails, taking surveys, completing offers, shopping online, and playing games. I personally have only read their emails, taken surveys, and completed FREE offers (ones that require signing up for newsletters or a registration) and have made a total of 9970 points. I have redeemed several $10 Walmart giftcard (1550 points each), a $10 Starbucks card (1450 points), and some others I can't quite remember. If you refer others, they give you 250 points each active referral. I'm working on getting referral banners with their affiliate program. Until then, if you'd like to join, please leave your email in the comment or email me since they only do referrals by invitation.

Inbox Dollars/Send Earnings- I joined both places which are virtually the same, but I still get money for all emails read, offers completed, surveys, games, and shopping online. Again, I do all the FREE stuff but you can make more if you already shop online or want to complete an offer for say Netflix or Book Of The Month Club. They have a signup bonus of $5, and minimum payout of $30. I've made only about $7 each so far just doing emails... You can also make money on active referrals activity.

**Search & Win**

Swagbucks- Use their search engine for your everyday searches and win Swagbucks to redeem for prizes. I just recently bought a coat for Kansas winter weather (a really nice one too), but we moved back to Phoenix only a month later. Ever since then it's never got cold enough to wear my coat. Go figure. I love the weather now, but that also means it'll get hotter. If Arizona relocation is what you are considering, definitely do it in the Spring when the weather is not too hot to move huge furniture around. Check it out, you may find your Dream Home in Arizona!

Christinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18314380596608179269noreply@blogger.com3
