It was just confirmed yesterday that I'm pregnant again! I kinda had the feeling that I might be because I was over 3 weeks *late*...but I also have been having wonky dates between my menstrual cycles (35, 41, etc) so I wasn't quite sure. But then I've been feeling kinda nauseous again like I had the flu so I decided to take a Home Pregnancy Test yesterday morning...it was a strong Positive! But since I needed to know *for sure* I wanted to get tested at a clinic. Again a Positive!
By the dates I gave them, they calculated me being about 7 weeks pregnant and my due Date about October 7, 2008. I am so excited. I can't wait to meet my new baby and my son to have someone to play with!
I will say that I am a little scared. My first pregnancy was a little difficult because I had Morning Sickness the WHOLE TIME! I also am scared since taking care of one is pretty difficult and stressful, I just hope my husband and I will be able to handle it.
My other concern is other people telling me their opinions about me being pregnant again. It's only been a year since my son was born and some people have stated their views on how that's too close in age....that I should probably have waited a few more years. I don't want to be 30 when I have my second child. I wanted my children to be pretty close in age so they'll bond.
And it's funny....not a few hours since I got the good news and both my mother and cousin both tried putting their hands on my belly. Seriously folks, just because I am pregnant does NOT give ANYONE the right to start touching me. I pretty much hate being touched by most people and I always hated being patted on the belly while being Pregnant. Grrrrr.

Super Congratulations!! How exciting! Don't worry what others say.. Everyone has their own opinions and mine is.. everything happens in it's own time, for it's own reasons.. Enjoy.. you (and hubby and big brother) will do great (or at least trudge through the tough times)!
YAEEE!! so very thrilled for you. I think having them close is perfect. Happy to join you in the journey (via blogville). Congrats sister.
Congrats to you & your family!
As long as you are all happy, that's all that matters!
I'm 31 in April & still to have my first pregnancy. I always swore that I refused to be an "older" parent as I had older parents myself (mum 38 & dad 57 when I was born. However life doesn't just happen the way you want it to. We have been TTC foor over 2yrs now & have a long road ahead of us.
I believe pregnancy is a miracle that has been created with love & through the good & tough times should be cherished. No matter how close in age I'm sure your children will love & be loved.
Congrats I think it's awesome :)
That is Wonderful! Of course folks will have something to say, but as long as you and your Hubby are happy about it, then so what! My second son and my only daughter are less than a year apart, it was difficult at first, but it didn't take that long for us to get the hang of it.
Congratulations!
I feel for you, I was sick my ENTIRE first pregnancy too, right from the start right up until he was born, it was NOT fun lol. Second pregnancy wasn't quite as bad, I was still sick the whole pregnancy, but at least it wasn't every single day that time around lol.
My boys are 2 years and 2 months apart. Yes they drive me absolutely crazy lol, and they do fight a lot like brothers do, but they are also extremely close and the best of friends. I don't think there's any such thing as too close together, it's whenever the time is right for you. My brother and I are 11 months apart to the day.
congrats on the new bubba! I have twins and then 3.5 years later we had another baby and everyone told me the age gap was too big! Too big, too small.. you can't please some people so best to please yourself!
Congratulations! That's great news. Mine are all close together (32 months apart from start to finish - 3 kiddos under age 3!). My daughter was 16 months old when my first son was born, and he was 16 months old when the baby brother was born (and he was a surprise, so it must have been the right timing!).
I was sick with all of my pregnancies, but you know what, our little babies don't know that! They just keep loving us the same way, even if we're not as quick to get up, a little rough around the edges, or just too tired and icky to do more than sit on the floor and play or read or watch a video with them. That's such a blessing 'cuz it means it IS ok to take care of yourself through this time, too!
How exciting - a new little person just waiting to be met. Congrats again!

Congrats!!!!
Wow! That's one awesome news! Congratulations! I also got pregnant when my son was not even a year old and I got several opinions flying around. They can say all they want, I also had thoughts I wanted to be done with pregnancy before I reach 30. Too bad we miscarried.
This is one blessing we are thrilled you have shared with us! :-)
Wow! That's one awesome news! Congratulations! is it really your photo. is it baby foot.............
Congratulations... and what a lovely picture...
Christina, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Oh how exciting...I wish I was prego. We're supposed to start trying when my son turns one, although I have a feeling we may wait a tad longer. Just like someone else commented, you can't please everyone. To close, to far apart, blah blah blah. It happens when it happens, end of story.
Oh and what's up with the 30 comment!!! Come on now! I got prego at 30 and I still think I'm crazy young! Don't make me beat you with my cane!
Again, congrats

Congrats on the stork visit!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
congratulations! My first two kids, my sons, are only 17 months apart and they are best friends now at age 4 & 5.
What wonderful news. :) Congratulations!!! That picture is truly amazing isn't it.
Congratulations! Close is great, far apart is great - this baby is a fact, and it's on its way - WHY do they comment??? Best of luck to you - no 2 pregnancies are the same, you don't have to get as sick this time... They say that ginger helps, incidentally.
That is awesome...adn what a cool picture!
Congratulations, may your pagerank grow faster than your belly. What else would a blogger wish you during pregnancy. Good luck on the whole morning sickness thing- ick.
Congrats! That is so wonderful!
how do you place a link into your logo? I'm having a hard time doing it...
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Whoo hoo!!!
Heya, That is awesome, MASSIVE congrats to you.
Stuart
Congratulations!!! I am so excited for you. This time last year, I was 18 weeks pregnant. Boy, time flies. It seems like the joyous day will never come, and then when it does...it flies by! I pray that you will have a successful pregnancy! God bless!
Congratulations, and I know exactly what you mean about people trying to touch you. Some women love it but I hated it and I carried around an imaginary machete so I could visualize lopping off the hands of anyone who tried.
Hope you feel good.
My two sisters are exactly 12 months apart and they have always been very close in their relationship. They are 5 & 6 years older than me so I wasn't as fortunate to have that good relationship until we were much older. I think Congratulations is what I will say to you! You are very blessed. :-D
Congratulations!! I have to apologise on their behalf then because I'm the type that will touch someone's belly as soon as I find out they're pregnant! Sorry!! lol
Don't listen to people about that. It'll be great having them that close. My brother and I are an extreme case, but we're 6 years apart and I beat him silly when he was a toddler :( I was a baaaad sister!!
Congratulations!! i wanna get pregnant again too!!! :)
Congratulations on your pregnancy! How exciting! :o)
Stopped by to drop my card and say congratulations!!
congrats ... love that photo too that was awesome ...lol
Congratulations! And I'm so with you on the invasion of personal space issue. You'd probably never think of touching someone else's belly when they aren't pregnant, so why is it OK if they are? Strange, I tell you.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! that is so wonderful! i wish you a healthy, uneventful pregnancy!
that picture is so cool...btw. when i was pregnant with my last child...we always saw his foot!! it was so so cool...and that pic reminded me of it...and, the fact that i should have photographed it!!
feel good honey!!
my best wishes ^^
